The 16-year-old American Idol star has announced he’s going to be a father.
Triston Harper, who is from McIntosh, Alabama, made the top five on the singing competition TV show season 22.
He auditioned with ‘Cover Me Up’ by Jason Isbell on guitar, which got judge’s approval.

Katy Perry hailed his authenticity and an ‘old soul’ and Lionel Richie called Harper’s voice ‘a storytelling voice.’
Again he’s gone viral, this time because he’s about to become a father.
The baby announcement has caused a bit of a stir as the singer is so young.
One person comments: “Two babies having a baby. “Much less a baby’s,” they don’t even know how to manage their life.”
But many people have rushed to congratulate Harper on the exciting news.
Someone else points out: ‘They both look happy, they have support.’
In agreement, another adds: “He is married, and he is willing to step into a family role, and I am glad for that.”

Harper’s path to stardom started young, but his story is all the more compelling because of that backstory.
According to the singer, he grew up in a turbulent home and the dark that enveloped his life started at 11 years old. According to his mother, the two were homeless by age 12 and she was in an abusive relationship.
During his audition, Harper said (per Heavy.com): “My mama wanted us to be something. That’s why I got into music.”
Widely known for his time on American Idol, Harper won’t be giving up his singing career just because he didn’t win a trophy.
His debut single ‘H.O.P.E.’ is a song for the journey, and has amassed over 383,000 Spotify streams.

Harper announced his baby news with an image of him and wife Paris Reed holding a positive pregnancy test on November 8, 2024.
The singer’s mother chimed in on the announcement, writing: ‘Now everybody congratulated me on Triston and Paris getting married, but to me that’s old news, but now I’m bout to be a ‘G Ma.’
Harper and Reed made their marriage official, just two days earlier.
All the best to the happy couple!
