The singer, who died from cancer aged 50 in 2009, is considered one of the biggest stars of the 20th century.
Jackson received 13 Grammy Awards, six Brit Awards, five Billboard Music Awards and 24 American Music Awards during his career.
He also has 20 Guinness records.
Styles, 29, was propelled to fame on The X Factor when he rose to fame in the boyband group One Direction.
Since, he has since become a solo artist, dropping three studio albums.
While Styles boasts a massive fanbase and has won three Grammy Awards so far throughout his career, people aren’t thrilled that he’s now being called the ‘new King of Pop’.

It all began from a piece Rolling Stone published on the ‘As It Was’ singer that made a bold statement.
“Harry Styles: It was titled ‘How the new King of Pop set the music world aflame.’
Not everyone is buying it though, and while a younger audience may believe that Styles has rightfully earned the crown, it’s not quite unanimous.
Even Jackson’s own family have spoken out against the title.

Retweeting the cover on X (formerly known as Twitter), Jackson’s nephew Taj said: “Here is no new King of Pop.
“You don’t own the title @RollingStone, and you didn’t earn it, my uncle did.
“Decades of dedication and sacrifice. The title has been retired.
“No disrespect to @Harry_Styles, he’s mega-talented.”
Styles then suggested Taj come up with his ‘own unique’ title instead of his uncle’s.
Taj’s post has been retweeted more than an astounding 11,600 times and thousands are joining the comments agreeing with him.
One person tweets: No, I’m a huge Harry Styles fan. He is not the new King of Pop. There is no new King of Pop.”
“100% agree,” another adds. ‘When Michael Jackson passed away, the title of the King of Pop went with him.’
Anyone to give that label is an insult, considering the struggles the Jackson family had to go through back in the day to get where they are. It’s retired.”

While a third person comments: “Well said Taj!! ‘Your uncle and him is the only one that owns the King of Pop title.”
But others are using the comments to defend Styles being handed the title.
‘Let’s use context clues…’ I say. Which means there WAS a FIRST King of Pop… which is your uncle… and he’s now the NEW King of Pop. We all know this. Another person argues, let people also shine.
Another user comments: “Deal with it, he is the new King of Pop.”
