Thirty years after he vanished, a guy in identical clothing emerged, completely bereft of any recollection of his disappearance.
In 1991, while on a routine journey to sell his livestock, Vasile Gorgos, a Romanian farmer, vanished without a trace.
Working trips of a few days’ duration were typical for the now-95-year-old. While away from home, he would often get in touch with those he cares about.
But he vanished without a trace in 1991 and remained so for the next three decades.
Gorgos claims to think he was at home the whole time and has no recollection of what happened to him, which is even odd.
A search for him was initiated when his family notified the police, however they were ultimately unsuccessful.
Thankfully, in September of 2021, the guy came back to his property unremembered, just as he had disappeared.
After he made an appearance, a vehicle was seen accelerating away, but nobody got a picture of the license plate.
In addition, the man’s attire was identical to what he had worn before he vanished. Even from his disappearance thirty years ago, he still carried a rail ticket in his pocket.
His loved ones, who had rightfully celebrated his passing with a memorial ceremony, were perplexed.
Upon returning home, witnesses said that he was entirely well, except from being disoriented.
Apart from a few neurological abnormalities that are typical for someone his age, his medical checkups showed that he was otherwise healthy.
Things he could remember were his birth year (1928), the name of his late wife, and the fact that his father had been a trader. But when he returned home, neither his son nor his daughter remembered him, and they weren’t certain that they had recognized him either. Speaking to the press in his hometown, his son said:
“We don’t understand him. He doesn’t know what he’s saying,” he said. “He talks to us about the period when he was involved in raising and selling cows. We ask him one thing, and he tells us another.
