For more than 20 years, she has dominated the women’s game because to her mix of strength, speed, and determination. Richard Williams, Serena’s father, was a key figure in her and Venus’s rise to tennis greatness during their formative years as children in Compton, California.

She uses her position to speak out against racial discrimination and wage inequality, among other social justice concerns, and she is a strong voice for gender equality. She has a major impact on the fashion industry as a whole, thanks to her inclusive and empowering apparel line.

Serena has shown remarkable resiliency and determination in the face of adversity, including injuries and health problems. Her rise to fame from humble beginnings on the Compton courts is an inspiration to young athletes everywhere and a fitting tribute to the tremendous skill, perseverance, and tenacity that propelled her to the pinnacle of her sport.

After receiving unsatisfactory service at Paris’s The Peninsula Hotel, the starlet vented her frustrations on X. She wrote: ‘Yikes,’ ‘@peninsulaparis I’ve been denied access to rooftop to eat in a empty restaurant of nicer places but never with my kids. Always a first.’

Subsequently, the hotel issued an apology on social media:

‘Dear Mrs. Williams, Please accept our deepest apologies for the disappointment you encountered tonight.

‘Unfortunately, our rooftop bar was indeed fully booked and the only unoccupied tables you saw belonged to our gourmet restaurant, L’Oiseau Blanc, which was fully reserved.

‘We have always been honored to welcome you and will always be to welcome you again. The Peninsula Paris.’

Some of her admirers wasted little time defending her, with one writing: ‘How does one get denied when they are Serena Williams…… lol’ while another wrote; ‘Glad you didn’t have to waste money there,’.

In a further statement to the Post, the hotel released the following statement:

“In response to Ms Williams’ tweet, for whom we have the utmost admiration and respect, as we do for all our esteemed guests, we reiterate our deepest apologies that we were not able to offer her a table at our rooftop bar when she arrived with her family and without a reservation,”

“We do always try to make space for walk-in guests but sometimes this is not possible.”

“On August 5th, our rooftop bar was indeed fully booked, and the only unoccupied tables at that time belonged to our gourmet restaurant, L’Oiseau Blanc, which was also fully reserved. As an alternative, Ms Williams was offered an outside table downstairs at the hotel’s La Terrasse Kléber,” the statement concluded, adding that they “have reached out to Ms Williams directly.”
